Application:

Sodium Phosphate Dibasic Heptahydrate has a very high buffering capacity. It is highly hygroscopic, water-soluble, and used in many applications such as enamels, ceramics, and detergents. Applicable in conjunction with Sodium Phosphate and monobasic in preparing biological buffers. It also plays a vital role in the following applications:

As a fireproofing agent in soldering and brazing instead of borax.

As mordant in dyeing, for weighting silk, and in tanning.

As sequestrant, emulsifier, and buffer in foods.

It is a cathartic laxative as a reagent and buffer in analytical chemistry.

In some cases, disodium phosphate heptahydrate can be used in the electroplating industry for specific purposes. It is commonly utilized as a buffering agent or a pH adjuster in electroplating baths. Adding disodium phosphate heptahydrate helps maintain a stable pH level within the plating bath, ensuring optimal conditions for the electroplating process.

Maintaining the desired pH level is crucial in electroplating baths as it influences factors such as the deposition rate, uniformity of the plating layer, and overall quality of the plated surface. Disodium phosphate heptahydrate can help control and stabilize the pH, ensuring consistent and desired plating results.

It is important to note that the specific application and concentration of disodium phosphate heptahydrate in the electroplating industry may vary depending on the specific requirements of the plating process and the materials being plated.
